Our Guest Speaker for the 5/12/21 Meeting will be Dr. Teresa Robinson formally of the Lansing Fire Department Asst. Fire Chief. Effective January 2021, she is the new Fire Chief for the City of Ferndale and we are thrilled to have her join!
Dr. Robinson earned a Bachelor degree in Management and Organizational Development, a Master Degree in Leadership, and a Doctorate degree in Human Services with a specialization in Disaster, Crisis, and Intervention.
She is a licensed firefighter, paramedic, EMS Instructor Coordinator, Pro-Board Fire Instructor II, and American Heart Association instructor for multiple disciplines. She is the first female Assistant Fire Chief with her appointment in July of 2019. Her role in the community also further developed in January of 2020 when Governor Whitmer appointed her to the State Board of Medicine.

Our April 14th speaker is Paul Wrzesinski, the AGC Michigan Safety & Health Director. He will give us Safety & Health Overview of pertinent updates specific to our industry and other useful resources to utilize in our continued “new normal”.
Mr. Wrzesinski started in the Construction industry in 1979. He completed his carpentry apprenticeship training through Local 1004 and Lansing Community College in May of 1989. He continued to work as a carpenter and foreman until 1998 when he went to work for the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). Paul hired in as an inspector and in 2000 accepted a supervisor position in the Enforcement division for Construction Safety. While at MIOSHA, Paul became the Safety Section Supervisor and finally the Departmental Safety Manager for the Construction Division before leaving state service.
Paul started with the AGC in July of 2014 as the Director of Safety and Health the position formerly held by Mr. Pete Anderson.
